Introduction

The Ramayana was originally titled as “Kaavyam Ramayanam Kritsnam Sitaayaas Charitham Mahat”. It is an ancient Indian epic poem which narrates the struggle of Rama to rescue his wife Sita from the Demon   king                      .

Rama was born to the kingdom of Kosalas under the king Dasharatha, but due to his father’s second wife, he was banished by his father along with his wife and brother Lakshmana. While in their banishment the Demon king Kidnappedd his wife and started a war with Rama. It ended with the death of the Demon King and Rama and Sita flying to south-east Inda

Conclusion

In my opinion the story was very good and although some parts of the story was removed from the book it is understandable since the original story consisted of 500 chapters. The plot of Rama’s wife Sita being the Damsel in Distress was a very good plot and I think it is the story that started the Damsel in Distress plots in most modern movies.
